SAUGUS LIONS CLUB BULLETIN

OCTOBER 2011 

The Saugus Lions Club is pleased to welcome two new members to our club.  Ben Penta and Steven Cutsumbis were installed at our October 19, 2011 meeting.   We look forward to serving with you in our mission to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness around the world.

Upcoming Events: 

• Saugus Lions/Rotary Club Joint Event – Rather than hold the typical Joint Meeting as we have done in the past, we expect this “event” will be more of a social informal gathering and will likely be held in the Spring.

 

• Juke Box Friday Night:  A night of music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s will be held on Friday, November 18th, 2011 at the Hilltop Steakhouse.  Doors open at 6:30pm and tickets cost $50.00 each.  All proceeds benefit the Saugus Lions Club and Massachusetts Lions Eye Research.

 

• The annual Football Banquet meeting will be held on November, 16, at our regularly scheduled meeting time.  Our guest speaker will be former New England Patriot, Jermaine Wiggins.

Saugus Lions Club meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at Prince Pizzeria starting at 6:15 p.m.  All members are invited to attend! 
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Saugus Lions Club is encouraged to come to our meeting and introduce yourself to our Membership Chairman Tom Traverse
